Neda Ahson is the founder of Salaam Yoga, where she brings together mindful movement, breath awareness, and inclusive community-centered practice. Her teaching is grounded, intentional, and accessible—designed to support strength, presence, and self-inquiry both on and off the mat.

Neda teaches vinyasa, slow flow, restorative, and mindfulness-based movement, with an emphasis on thoughtful sequencing and embodied awareness rather than performance. Her classes invite students to move with curiosity, cultivate steadiness, and develop a deeper relationship with their breath and body.

Central to Neda’s work is creating spaces where yoga feels welcoming and relevant across cultures, ages, and life experiences. She has extensive experience teaching children and families, integrating mindfulness tools that support emotional regulation, confidence, and connection.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida, along with studies in Rabata permaculture at Zaytuna University, where she explored the intersections of ecology, spirituality, and lived practice.

In addition to teaching, Neda’s reflective writing explores embodiment, identity, and contemplative practice. Her work has appeared in both community and academic spaces, including a recent peer-reviewed publication in Race & Yoga.

Through Salaam Yoga, Neda continues to cultivate spaces rooted in intention, inclusivity, and mindful presence.
